CGI - fictitious car add

You must know that I'm a big fan of car adds. I think the most of them are master peaces of digital art. Yesterday I thought: Worth a try. Here is it. The car is a free stock-render from the internet, "pimped" and I make it fit into the environment. I think the result looks quite good. Maybe a references for those who search for "CGI-Freelancers".

Featured at the untapped source

Hey guys. Here's me again after my great holiday. When I came home I got a mail from a guy called Mathew. He asked me to be featured artist on "the untapped source". At first I asked myself what the hell the untapped source is. So I read some information on the website.

A short sum for the readers: The untapped source is a special kind of shop where you can buy artworks of artists. The clue is that the artists get a lot money and the owner of the untapped source are making only a little profit. I'm really appreciate such projects and here is also a commendation to the owners: the great design makes you really enjoying the visit! Visit theuntappedsource.com now!

After my finished Exams (finished school - yeah!) I'm going to make holiday. Two weeks in the south of italia. It's really hot there, but tell me: Where isn't it atm? I think it will be very funny, and I hope won't get burnt of the sun too much. I wish all visitors a nice summer and see you in 2 weeks. Simon

I was inspired by 7shadows and have to mention, that he's a fuckin great artist. I used stocks from shutterstock.com and scxu.hu.

Depthcore - Empire

A few time ago the new Depthcore art-pack 'Empire' was released. Depthcore is one of the biggest abstract-art communities. Once I was a member too. But because of my long time in-activity I'm out now.
The pack consists of more than 80 works, which show us the great variety of abstractionism. I really like the different developments the artists are walking throught. DC shows other artists new styles and gives them inspiration. With every DC-Pack a new mile-stone in the progress of abstract art is set.

Above you can see a small part the picture 'Empire', created by Theo Aartsma. Only one piece of a lot that shows the genius of the guys who are relating there pictures there. In my opinion there could be more oldschool abstract, but I have to realise, that I'm one of the last followers of oldschool abstracts. Cheers.

Forbidden Wispers Magazine

A few month ago I got a mail: I should be spottet artist in the Forbidden Wispers Magazine. I ask myself: what a magazine is that? So I surfed their Website and found out that Forbidden Wispers Magazine is a Magazine for digital artists, about the scene and about the technics. This one should be the 3rd issue of this magazine. It's a magazine you have to pay for, either get a printed version or a pdf version for selfprint.

When I got the magazine I was overhelmed: I got 4 Sites for my own and I was really the spottet artist: First gallery-sites with panorama-views of my pictures. Thats my first press release and I'm really proud of being mentioned with pretty amazing artists in the same magazine.

Smokin' Aces

Yesterday I was at cinema for watching the movie "Smokin Aces". I read a lot of critics before I watched the movie, so I knew what will come. At the beginning the movie is some kind of confusing. A mafia-member should be the principal witness to blow the wistle on the mafia. They engage a killer to erase him. A lot of other killers knew about the million that is set out on the heart of the principal witness. A rat race beginns between these killer. A funny, overwinded story with a (more or less) surprising ending and some amazing jokes, worth the money.

Slowly it becomes serious: The exams to finish school are in approx. a month and I haven't learned pretty much yet. I don't make myself having stress - but the others do. Most of the have already began to learn some stuff. How will this end ?
But another topic: I'm sure what I'm going to study after school. The subject was an important question for me the last time that didn't let me calm down. Now I know what to study: Bio-Informatics (Don't know if this is the correct english term, but I hope you know what is meant). It is very relaxing to know what to do. Maybe I have less head-ache now :/ Hope with me!

Sheesha and headache

Yesterday I had the best working Sheesha ever. I got a smoke with a density you can't imagine. Used a new methode, the so called 'teelight-method'. My brother gave my some real noble tabacco last sommer but it burnt everytime I tried to smoke with. So I decided to create a ring of the cassing of a teelight to create more room. So I was allowed to fill the head like every time, but the coal doesn't touch the tabacco. It worked well you see =) A lot of kingly tasting smoke was the result.

Now the bad news: Had to stay away from school today. Since a week I have had a lot of headache. I normally have more headache then others, but so much ? Really depressing. I hate headache as much as the pest. Hope that it will stop soon.

Poker

Poker: one of my big passions. A great game which is often called a game of luck. In the main it isn't. You can calcute the propabilities and only play with pod odds and the knowledge about your chances. That's my kind of playing. There are rules you have to follow, and think about your partner, try to be the partner and think like him.
At the moment I'm writing on a programm which calculates the chances of every figure you can reach with your starting hand. Would be nice if I could realise that (I would surely share it with you) but it is very complicated (I'm interested in the calculus of propabilites but it is very hard)
If you have a party poker account, add me to your ICQ contactlist and there's no problem to challenge me.

Cheers, Simon

My most popular picture and in addition my 3rd DailyDeviation.

"The dark night befalling the black ocean, the tumlting sea shimmering from star light as the cold winds whips waves against the steel hull of the oceanic habitat. It's just the calm before the storm, deafening thunder and fatal clouds rolling closer as the birds make their last round around the big black dome. And then, all hell breaks lose!

Storm is a striking scene in an incredibly realistic looking environment by german 3D artist *en-tyrael.
